Brief Information about Kitchen Designs

If you’re considering redesigning your kitchen, here are some important things to keep in mind. In this article, we’ll discuss kitchen designs in Dubai, such as the Work triangle, the Galley style, and the Zone-type layout. Once you have the basics, you can start planning your new kitchen! Read on to find out more! Then, use these tips to make your new space a dream come true.

Work triangle:

The work triangle is a common design strategy, which consists of three key points – the prep area, the cooking area, and the eating area. The ideal kitchen design will not include any obstacles or significant traffic flow within the triangle. For instance, it should not have full-height furniture or tall cabinets between the two points. The ideal distance between these points is between four and nine feet. In addition, the triangle should have a maximum width of 26 feet, so that food preparation and eating can happen simultaneously.

Zone-type kitchen layout:

A zone-type kitchen layout is an excellent choice for commercial restaurants. In a zone-type layout, your kitchen is divided into zones, or stations, for different processes. Core areas include food preparation, meal cooking, service, and a dishwashing station. If you have more room, an island-style layout is a good choice. Here, the appliances and workstations are grouped around a central island. This layout is also great for smaller commercial restaurants.

Double island layout:

A double island in your kitchen design provides plenty of counter space for cooking, baking, and eating. One island is a designated “kid zone” where your kids can play and watch TV. The second island can be a workstation or even a seating area if you have company over for a meal. A double island also has several advantages, from increasing your countertop space to adding a breakfast bar. A double island allows you to serve more food with less mess and can be an essential feature of your kitchen design.

Galley style:

One of the biggest challenges of a small kitchen is its layout, and the galley-style kitchen design is a perfect example. The width of this design is usually between seven to twelve feet. The best way to arrange the space is to place two countertops on opposite walls at optimal countertop heights. Typically, these countertops are approximately 36 inches tall. The kitchen cabinets should be the same height as the countertops.
